August 8,2003 <br /> NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER: LE03-226 <br /> a Information gleaned from the questionnaire submitted and signed by Mr. Solari includes the fact that <br /> the Sloari Family Trust has owned the property since 2002,bought from Tomato Food Products,Inc. <br /> Tomato Food Products, Inc. bought the property in 1998. The current use of the property is general <br /> agriculture. The 2003 product was wheat, while the 2002 product was cannery tomatoes. The <br /> property has always been used for agriculture and is zoned Ag 40. There was no further pertinent <br /> a <br /> information from the questionnaire. <br /> VII. SITE VISIT/ASSESSMENT <br /> a <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted prior to the compilation of this report. �ILgla3 <br /> Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix 2-. A site <br /> visit/assessment checklist is attached to this report as Appendix C. A <br /> The subject property is a rectangular parcel of approximately 36 acres. What will be Ramsey <br /> Avenue is staked out,delineating the east boundary of the subject property(see Photograph 2). What <br /> will be Ramsey Avenue was not disced(see Photograph 3). The south boundary is delineated by an <br /> orchard on the west side of the southern boundary(see Photograph 4). The west boundary is fenced <br /> from an orchard; shrubs,weeds and cacti line the fence(see Photograph 5). The north border of the <br /> subject property is bounded by an orchard (see Photograph 6). There is a pipe sticking out of the <br /> ground that is probably part of the water distribution infrastructure (see Photograph 7). There is a <br /> partially buried culvert near the southeast corner of the subject property. Near one end is a discarded <br /> tarp (see Photograph 8). Near the other there is a destroyed lawnmower in two main pieces (see <br /> a Photographs 9-10). The rest of the subject property is a recently disced hay field (see Photograph <br /> 11). There is no electricity to the subject property,thus no transformers. The client has stated that <br /> there is a well on the subject property, however, in a peE_naliu�w and site visit the well was <br />•� found to be greater than 1/4 mile from the subject property. - <br /> VIII. FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> a <br /> The most toxic chemicals that have been applied to the subject property are Methomyl and 2,4-D. <br /> Methomyl is a highly toxic chemical in the USEPA's toxicity level class I. Methomyl has a half-life <br /> of approximately 14 days; it has not been applied to the subject property since the year 2000. 2,4-D <br /> is a chemical that is slightly toxic orally. However, 2,4-D is in the USEPA's toxicity level class I, <br /> highly toxic, to the eyes. The half-life of 2,4-D is less than seven days; it was last applied to the <br /> subject property in the year 2001. <br />.. The only address known for the file is that of 2621 North Ramsey Avenue. There are no files for that <br /> address with any consulted local agency as Ramsey Avenue is still being planned. The subject <br /> property is not supplied with power and there are no transformers in the vicinity. <br /> a <br />
