RECIEVEp
AUG 2rr
Community Development Dept,
August 7, 2008
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Attention: Kevin Swanson
Gentlemen:
Subject: Application Number QX-89-0002
Applicant: Munn & Perkins, Modesto
Property Owner: Aggregates, Inc., Modesto
This letter is in response to the Application Referral received regarding the subject
application.
My residence at 28365 E. River.Road, Escalon, is`located approximately one (1) mile
from the quarry operations at 26292 E. River Road, Escalon. At the time I purchased this
M property, it was my understanding that the quarry's normal hours of operation were from
5:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
While I accepted those hours and the consequential noise and dust from such operations,
I feel it is necessary to voice my opposition to extending those hours to include 9:00 PM
to 5:00 AM. To allow quarry operations to occur during this time would subject my
family to noise throughout the night from the quarry operations and from truck traffic as
my residence is located 50 feet from the roadway.
I respectfully request that the Planning Commission deny this Application to extend
hours as an unnecessary disruption to surrounding property owners.
Thank you for your consideration of my comments and recommendation on this matter.
Very truly yours,
Brad and Kris Arseneau
28365 E. River Road
Escalon, CA 95320
