The additional truck traffic will have a significant impact upon the First
Street/Santa Fe Road bridge as well as significantly impact the operation of the First Street/Atchison Street
(State Route 108)intersection;the First Street/Patterson Road intersection;the Patterson Road/Roselle Avenue
intersection and the Roselle Avenue/Claribel Road intersection.
The City of Riverbank is strongly opposed to this project until all operational aspects of these intersections and
roadway segments are fully evaluated for safety, level of service, noise and air quality. There has been a recent
pedestrian fatality associated with truck movements at the First Street/Atchison Road. Prior to adding any
additional truck traffic at this intersection, the truck/pedestrian conflict must be addressed.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please contact me.
Cordially,
J.D.Hightower
Development Services Director
City of Riverbank
(209)863-7124(office)
He poho na kapoho O ke
akamai no kc hana a nW
Problems Happen.
