NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> BEFORE THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT BEGINNING 1:30 P.M., ON AUGUST 14, 2012, or as soon as the <br /> matter can be heard thereafter, THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, IN <br /> THE CHAMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, on the Sixth Floor of the <br /> Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton, California, will hold a public <br /> hearing and receive oral and written statements regarding the following applications and their <br /> environmental determinations: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE APPEAL BY GEORGE REED, INC., OF THE <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION'S DENIAL FOR REVISIONS OF APPROVED ACTIONS <br /> APPLICATION NO. QX-89-0002 AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT NO. PA- <br /> 0900114 OF MUNN & PERKINS to amend Ordinance Development Requirement No. 4. of a <br /> previously approved quant'excavation permit(QX-89-0002) as follows: Hours of Operation: With <br /> the exception of periods of declared National, State, or County emergency, daily operations shall be <br /> restricted to the period between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. The extended hours of 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 <br /> a.m. will be permitted only for projects that contain specifications that limit work to nighttime hours. <br /> The number of extended nights will not exceed 125 nights per year provided there are no <br /> unexpected delays in construction work. Nighttime work will be limited to the asphalt batch plant, <br /> loaders, trucks including a water truck, and scale house. The crushing of rock and excavation <br /> activities will not be permitted between the nighttime hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. The project is <br /> located at the southwest intersection of east River road and Harrold Avenue, Escalon (Supervisorial <br /> District 4). Environmental Determination: An Initial Study indicates that this project will not <br /> have a significant effect on the environment, and a Negative Declaration has been posted. <br /> Planning Commission Recommendation: Denial <br /> All persons interested in these matters are invited to be present and submit written and/or oral <br /> statements regarding the project or the environmental determination at this hearing. If you <br /> challenge the nature of the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those <br /> issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written <br /> correspondence delivered to the Planning Division at, or prior to, the public hearing.
