Provide a process flow diagram, and a scaled map showing the facility and all active, abandoned, or
future wastewater ponds. Will the.sand/gravel washing area(s) and ponds remain in the same location
or will they be moved?
11. Provide the estimated daily peak and daily average volume of wastewater discharged from the
operations. Provide a list showing each wastestream generated from mining or processing ore and
the estimated average daily flow for each wastestream. Describe any variation in discharge rates
from the dry to wet season.
12. Provide a water balance that evaluates the wastewater pond(s) ability to provide sufficient capacity
on a month-by-month basis. Include monthly evaporation, precipitation, stormwater entering ponds
(if applicable), and.process return rates as well as monthly discharge volumes. Rainfall shall be
based on the 100-year return period total annual precipitation, distributed monthly in accordance
with mean monthly precipitation patterns. Contact the Regional Board staff member for clarification
if needed.
13. For each wastewater/stormwater pond, what is the approximate storage capacity allowing for two
feet of freeboard and deducting the volume of the sludge presently retained within the pond? What
is the estimated sedimentation rate for each pond?
14. Provide a chemical characterization of each process wastewater stream, and the wastewater
discharged to the wastewater ponds. The samples shall be tested for total suspended solids, total
dissolved solids, pH, standard minerals, and Title 22 metals. Samples shall be filtered prior to
digestion and analysis: The sample data must be of sufficient quality.for, staff to determine.if the
waste is a designated waste as defined in CWC Section 13173.
15. Describe storage areas and-approximate.storage amounts of petroleum, hydraulic oils, and other
chemicals that are stored or used on-site.
16. Describe the type and volume of any chemical, such as polymers, added directly to either the
wastewater or wastewater ponds.
WASta"rien'nSan Jo quinMunn and Pcii—Wetch P Aug O5.dv
