The end result will undoubtedly be the creation of a clustered community,
inconsistent and completely out of character with the existing community.
The proposed project is located at the apex of Riviera Drive and Fairway Drive. Those two
streets come together at an angle much greater than ninety degrees, virtually creating a u-turn, yet
nonetheless resulting in a blind curve that, as it currently sits, represents a significant hazard to
both pedestrians and vehicles. The proposed project, with its greater density, clustered homes
and the attendant ingress and egress, would exacerbate an already unacceptable hazardous
condition, especially during periods of construction. Public safety concerns would require
meaningful mitigation to alleviate this hazardous condition. Due to the location of the proposed
project, no meaningful mitigation is possible.
Based largely upon the foregoing concerns, the Jacobsens strongly object to the project as
proposed and request that staff not recommend approval of the application.
Finally, please advise our office when the staff report is available and provide us with notice of
the date and time of the public hearing. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Very Truly Yours,
RISHWAIN & RISHWAK a Professional
Corporation
By:
Mark B.
