The San Joaquin County
Site Approval Application Number for the project is PA-03-99 and the parcel number of the site
is APN 025-170-05. The size of the property is approximately 39 acres. The site is a wine grape
vineyard.
The soil suitability/nitrate loading study was required by the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department(EHD) to determine whether the soils are suitable for the use of a septic
system for the proposed development and to estimate whether the project will impact ground
water quality. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of
the San Joaquin County Development Title. Field work involved drilling and performing one
percolation test.
_ In addition to conducting the field work, a review of published soil information, geologic maps,
and available ground water information was reviewed to determine the suitability of soils. The
nitrate loading study was conducted to estimate the potential impact of leaching nitrates from the
septic system into ground water. This report presents the results of our study.
