November 18, 2013
San Joaquin County
Community Development Dept.
Attn: Mo Hatef
1801 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: SITE APPROVAL APPLICATION #PA-1300186
Dear Mr. Hatef:
We have been property owners living on East Schmiedt Road for over 20 years and we purchased in this
area because we very much enjoy the scenery, peace and quiet here.
To build a winery in this location will disrupt our quiet neighborhood as there would be a great deal of
traffic, both trucks and cars; and there is no road to accommodate such traffic. It is not safe for vehicles
to be travelling a road that has not been built to County code. The road also needs to be constructed in
such a way that the enormous amount of traffic generated by the winery does not cause dust that
effects property along the road. And parking and driving could intentionally or accidentally overflow
onto our property and along our private easement/road to enter our property.
The noise from events held at the winery would be disruptive to our enjoyment of the quiet serenity we
now enjoy. Supposedly amplified music is not proposed at present; but as things go, it could
conceivably be modified in the future to meet the winery's event desires.
We oppose the above application for a winery; and urge you to not disrupt our quality of life and risk
public safety.
Respe full submitted,
Ter as nick J net M.
