WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS NO. 5.00-056 -2- <br /> OWENS-BROCKWAY <br /> OWENS-ILLINOIS GLASS FURNACE FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> S. Surrounding land uses are agricultural and industrial; there are four industrial or agricultural <br /> wells downgradient of the wastewater ponds. <br /> 9. Domestic and industrial water is supplied by two wells at the facility. One well is adjacent <br /> to the leased "VIP warehouse" and provides domestic and fire protection water. The second <br /> well is in the employee parking area and supplies water to the glass manufacturing plant. <br /> The second well's casing is perforated in deep aquifer zones (440 to 530 ft. bgs). The well's <br /> seal extends from the surface to 350 ft. bgs.
