KLEINFELDER
r
8 EVALUATIONS
L Kleinfelder performed this ESA of the subject site in conformance with the scope and limitations
of ASTM Practice E1527. In summary, Kleinfelder's assessment revealed the following
information about the subject site:
L
8.1. FINDINGS
L.
The following sections describe Kleinfelder's findings and provide a general background
L information about the site. Findings include recognized environmental conditions, historically
recognized environmental conditions, and deminimus quantities, as applicable to the subject site.
Business environmental risk issues are discussed in Section 8.3, Deviations. In summary:
L8.1.1. Background Information
L According to Kleinfelder's site reconnaissance, a review of historical aerial photographs and
- topographic maps, the site is shown to have been used for agricultural purposes since at least
1983, with the construction of a warehouse and associated northern and southern ponds in the
L 90's.
L 8.1.2. Onsite Findings
1) Because of the historical agricultural use of the site, environmentally persistent pesticides
L may be present on site.
2) Two pipelines traversing site, one of which was noted as a crude oil pipeline.
L
3) Two stormwater ponds are located north and south of the approximate 7.5 acre
warehouse located on the southern portion of the subject site.
L
4) One industrial/fire use well with associated pump is located near the western boundary of
the site, and a monitoring well is located just north of the industrial well.
L
5) Underground irrigation piping appears to be trending along the western boundary of the
L site, with associated manholes and concrete standpipes.
6) A fire tank (water), approximately 5,000 gallons is located adjacent and west of the
industrial well.
L
7) A fiber optic line marker is located in the northern portion of the site, trending east west.
L
40351.P01 /ST04R354 Page 25 of 30
L Copyright 2004,Kleinfelder,Inc.
