The soil suitability study was completed
for San Joaquin Environmental Health Department (EHD) requirements.
The soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use
with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section
9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included
conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by the San Joaquin
Environmental Health Department (EHD).
In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic
maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a
septic system.
The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible,
the EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003.
1.1 Site Description
The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 143-270-38. The parcel is approximately 1.9
—' acres in size (Plate 1). The County application number is currently unassigned. The subject property
has an office building in the southeast corner of the property and has a parking lot covering the
majority of the western portion of the property.
