VOW '"Oe
May 4,2004
NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER E04029A
1.2 Proposed Development
i Mr. Robert Braden of Robert Braden Consulting, a representative of the property owners, was
interviewed by telephone regarding the proposed development of the site on April 21, 2004, at
four o'clock by Ms. Racco. Mr. Braden indicated that half of the subject property is owned by
the Longstreth Family Limited Partnership, and half is owned by Fabian Edward and Rena Bains.
He indicated that the owners wish to split the land into six parcels so that each party will own
three. Mr.Braden stated that the owners do not intend to sell the land;rather, they plan to plant
the entire property with almond trees.
2.0 PAST, PRESENT, AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES
2.1 Recorded Land Title Records
A chain of title report was neither provided nor requested by the client for NOA's use in
preparing this report.
2.2 Aerial Photographs
Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937, 1952, 1963, 1975 and 1983 were
reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. One additional
map, dated 1993, was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver.
In the 1937 photo, the majority of the subject property appears to be recently tilled crop land.
Little John's Creek defines the southeastern boundary of the subject property, and a second creek
runs through the property parallel to Little John's. Wetlands can be seen to the west of this
creek. A residential area can be seen at the approximate center of the northern boundary of the
property. A residence and two larger barns are apparent, as well as what appears to be a feed or
milk barn. Several smaller structures such as sheds or outbuildings are apparent as well. Two
residences lie to the north of the subject property; all other surrounding areas are crop land or
vineyard.
In the 1952 photo, the wetlands are less evident than they were in the 1937 photo. A road
running west-east bisects the property. The westernmost barn is no longer apparent, but a smaller
structure such as a garage is apparent to the south of the residence. The sheds or outbuildings
have been rearranged. The subject property and its immediate vicinity otherwise appear
unchanged from the 1937 photo.
i
3
i
