The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br /> Division (Development Title Section 9-1115.4(e)). Agricultural discharge pipes utilizing an <br /> air gap for backflow prevention shall maintain an air gap equal to the size of the <br /> discharge pipe but not less than six inches. The discharge pipe shall also have two Y4- <br /> inch slits extending six inches from the bottom of the pipe and opposite each other, or <br /> a backflow device approved by San Joaquin County must be installed.
