Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater DisposZSfa ar <br /> other engine nn reconllnendatiens} <br /> � JJ <br /> L 4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION <br /> Lj/.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient <br /> The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District(1998 and 1999) ground <br /> water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site. <br /> The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the County. <br /> According to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies between 120 and 130 feet below ground <br /> surface and flows at a gradient of about twenty feet per mile to the west in the vicinity of the Site. <br /> L <br /> /No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc. during the <br /> drilling of six percolation test holes to depths of 3, 9 and 25 feet on March 21 and 22, 2006. <br /> A4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues <br /> Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources which often include <br /> leaky underground storage tanks,agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water <br /> Linfiltration. Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems in the area should be considered <br /> potential ground-water contamination sources. <br /> L04.3 Well History and Water Sample Location <br /> According to Mr. Craig, one domestic well (located in APN 023-110-12) has been turned off and is <br /> L not in current use;one irrigation well (located in APN 023-110 08&09) has been turned off and i <br /> not in current use;and one domestic well (located in APN 023-110-01) has been installed in aboutd <br /> the year 2000 and could be used by a nearby building pad location. A pumping station located along <br /> Lthe Mokelumne River was present but has not been in use since before 1996 according to Mr. Craig. <br /> /One One domestic well is located on the subject property near the current residence.
