Nelson <br /> Site Representatives <br /> _ Name Dwayne Boys Title Vice President <br /> Comments and Observations <br /> A site reconnaissance visit was conducted by URS representatives, Samuel Won and Chris Nelson, at the <br /> Tfr&Je &Boys Agricultural Flying Service (Trinkle&Boys) site on May 14, 1992. The representative from <br /> Trinkle &Boys was Dwayne Boys who is co-owner of the flying operation. <br /> Trinkle &Boys lies approximately 5 miles southeast of the city of Tracy along I lighway 33. A small number of <br /> residential houses can be seen in the area surrounding the northwest to southeast boundaries of the site. Directly <br /> west of Trinkle &Boys across Highway 33 is a crop field and to the north, about 200 feet away, is a residential <br /> house. The site is open with no perimeter fencing. Trinkle &Boys is not secured from public access. <br /> Before 1955, the property and the aerial application business was owned by Mr. Gene Winey who subsequendy` <br /> sold the property and business to George Boys and Carl Trinkle in 1955.. The co-owners operated the flying <br /> service from .1955 to 1982 when they sold their business their sons Dwayne Boys and Eric Trinkle. From <br /> 1970 to 1972,additional construction was completed to convert the facility (consisting of an office and dirt <br /> runway)to one with a paved landing strip,hangars,and storage areas. The Trinkle& Boys aerial pesticide and <br /> fungicideapplication business operates for three to four months out of the year with the remaining time used for <br /> -erial'fertilizer applications or stand-by. Flights during the year can range as high as 30 flights a day to no <br /> flights at all_''Currently, three planes are in operation with a crew of:five on site,two pilots and three support <br /> personnel <br /> Trinkle &Boys consists of approximately 3 to 4 acres composed primarily of a landing strip,two hangars, and <br /> three outside storage areas. The landing strip asphalt was cracked. The primary hangar,doubling as an office, <br /> is used'for aircraft maintenance.'' Another hangar; located south of the hangar/office, is used for machinery <br /> storage. On the southern side of the hangar/office is a chemical batcher and holding tank.
