REGULATORY AGENCY FILE REVIEW
T:
The SJCEHD and CVRWQCB maintain records for, and are responsible for, enforcement of state
underground storage tank (UST) and hazardous waste laws. AGE commonly reviews files for up-
gradient sites under active environmental regulation to ascertain the current site status and its
potential to impact the subject property.Beyond information found on the GeoTracker CVRWQCB
website, there were no sites under active environmental regulation identified by the database search
within the required search radius of potential concern to the property.
-* 5.0. SUBJECT PROPERTY RECONNAISSANCE
A site reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted by representatives of AGE on 26 March
2007.At the time of the site visit the weather was rainy and cold;the rain was recent and the soil was
not wet.Photographs of selected features of the subject site are included in Appendix A.The primary
features of the subject property are shown in Figure 2.
5.1. GENERAL SITE SETTING
The subject property had formerly operated as a crop dusting service; at the time of the site
reconnaissance, several buildings had been demolished at the northwest corner of the property and
a residence near the center of the north boundary. The property was undeveloped except for a metal
hangar building with dirt flooring used for storage,an asphalt runway and a small fenced grassy area
near the southern portion of the property. Two abandoned autos were located north from the metal
hangar building.
The demolition areas appeared to be clean, with only small amounts of asphalt and building material.
No information was available concerning the three monitoring wells installed but assumed to be
abandoned; AGE noticed a small depression on the west side of the hangar building where a
monitoring well was shown, but has no proof that the location was a former well; AGE could not
locate any other potential remnants. AGE inspected the area listed as the former Chemical Storage
area, but noted no obvious soil staining or diseased vegetation.AGE inspected the fenced area shown
_ on the aerial photographs as a scrap metal storage area, but noted no obvious soil staining or diseased
vegetation.
The metal hangar building was unlocked; AGE noted that the floor was soft dirt and gravel; stored
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
