GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
NLS§/2.1, SS§ 4. . Groundwater depths and elevations throughout San Joaquin County are
at n ap
illust on published by the County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The
Spring 2014 Lines of Equal Depth Map indicate the groundwater depth to be approximately 35 feet
below grade. The Spring 2014 Lines of Equal Elevation Map illustrates the groundwater
directional flow to be in a northeasterly direction.
NL § 2Vte
.1 SSS§ 2.1, 4.2r Since the surrounding properties have been farmed for a number of
dec , potential for nitrate contamination to the underlying groundwater aquifers can be
considered significant. However, apparently due to the high clay content soil which certainly
mitigates nitrate impact, the on-site well water is only slightly above the MCL at 47 p m as nitrate.
NLS§2.3i, SSS§ 4.3, 4.4,4.5,4.6. The on-site domestic well was sampled from a hose bibb
directly south of the pump house. The water was allowed to run for 30 minutes with the pump
cycling several times to ensure that aquifer formation water was sampled and not stagnant welt
casing or tank water. Nitrate and alkalinity water samples were drawn into a one-quarter liter
plastic bottle. The agrichemical DBCP was not sampled per EHD request. The sample container
was placed in a cooled ice chest, then transported to A&1-Weste cultural Labs in Modesto,
under the attached Chain of Custody. Test results for the listed constituents are illustrated below in
Table 3.
TABLE 3
WELL WATER ANALYSIS
Nb ELI.
