Uses that significantly <br /> displace agricultural operations on the subject contracted parcel or parcels may be <br /> deemed compatible if they relate directly to the production of commercial agricultural <br /> products on the subject contracted parcel or parcels or neighboring lands, including <br /> activities such as <br /> harvesting, processing, or shipping.] <br /> Response to Appeal Statement No. 2 <br /> The Farm Bureau states that they are concerned with the Findings and the Williamson <br /> Act Principles of Compatibility, but they do not list their concerns. All four Planning <br /> Commissioners present could make all the Findings, including Findings l and 2. The use <br /> is consistent with the General Plan; there are adequate private systems for septic, water, <br /> and storm drainage; the site is suitable for development; the use will not be significantly <br /> detrimental to neighboring properties; and the use is compatible with adjoining land uses. <br /> Also, the Planning Commissioners could make all the Williamson Act Principles of <br /> Compatibility, including 1 and 2. The use will not compromise the long-term productive <br /> agricultural capability of lands in agricultural preserves; the use will not significantly <br /> displace or impair agricultural operations on parcels in agricultural preserves; and the use <br /> will not result in the significant removal of adjacent contracted land from agricultural or <br /> open-space use. The Department of Conservation was sent a referral on March 27, 2009. <br /> They did not respond to this project as of February 25, 2010. <br /> Appeal Statement No. 3 <br /> "The Farm Bureau states: "We are requesting that the entire parcel be entered into a full <br /> cancellation of the Williamson Act for the above stated reasons." <br /> Response to Appeal Statement No. 3 <br /> Cancellation of the Williamson Act contract is not a part of this application.
