SOIL SUITABILITY/NITRATE LOADING STUDY <br /> RAVERTY PROPERTY <br /> 100 EAST TADDEI ROAD <br /> ACAMPO, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LGS080551 <br /> Our office was contracted by Mr. Kent Raverty to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading <br /> Study (SS/NLS) for the property at 100 East Taddei Road, Acampo, California. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003, <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Proposed Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study (SSNLS) were conducted to determine <br /> whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according <br /> to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A <br /> major element of the field work included conducting percolation tests that meet the required <br /> absorption rates as required by San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 013-130-23. The parcel is approximately <br /> 22.70 acres in size (Plate 1). The County application number is PA-08-360. The Site is <br /> currently planted as orchard and vineyard farm land. A residence, guest house, two out <br /> buildings and a caretaker's house exists on the site. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> between approximately 25 and 40 feet above mean sea level.
