examples of a facility that has been through the County Planning process previously, and <br /> continued to implement a vision for their benefit without regard to the conditions of their <br /> previously approved permit. What's more troubling is that the use of these investments are <br /> now hinging on a permit approval by the County. Will the County be seen as being tough on <br /> business when a permitted entity is left with stranded investments that were not properly <br /> permitted to begin with, or will the County be seen as soft on those who violate their <br /> conditional use permits that specifically outline what can and cannot be done with their <br /> permit? That is the decision this Planning Commission will have to consider. This is not the first <br /> time a facility of this nature has come before the Commission and the Board of Supervisors to <br /> ask forgiveness on major indiscretions of their permit. <br /> Further, if this application is approved, the County will only solidify their position that <br /> not only can you seek forgiveness for your unpermitted projects, but you can be rewarded with <br /> allowing expansion of activities through more marketing events and more attendees to these <br /> facilities. Is this the message the County wants to convey? <br /> The applicant has advertised a number of events including the inaugural amphitheater <br /> season of music in the vineyard where "dinner and a show" will be provided.
