participants drinking beer, and have found beer bottles in our vineyard clearly
thrown over the fence from St. Jorge. [See Photo Set E]
We are also concerned about what would happen to our property if a large
number of the structures at St. Jorge caught fire. There are no hydrants or other
public water sources in the neighborhood, and the volume of water produced from
local agricultural/domestic wells would be grossly insufficient to combat a major
blaze.
St. Jorge Causes Excessive Traffic
We have already seen a lineup of cars down Bender Road waiting to turn into St.
Jorge for an event, we have already witnessed cars backed up on Peltier Road
making an unprotected left turn to get to St. Jorge, and we have already had to ask
St. Jorge customers to not park their cars in our vineyard and other areas of our
property. The dust created by these cars goes onto our grapes and interferes with
the quality and quantity of our grape production. With even more people attending
commercial entertainment events at St. Jorge there'll be that much more traffic,
dust, and parking problems to contend with.
Conclusion
St. Jorge's plans to bring thousands of people into the neighborhood each
year for music and other events will have an adverse affect on us. We choose to
live in the country for the peace and quiet. Our choice of lifestyle will be gone if
St. Jorge's plans are approved. Thank you for your consideration.
[4]
