+ Trans Sohal Logistics—Soil Suitability Section Page 3 of 13
Our Project Number: LGS140011
October 8, 2014
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office
reviewed a recent aerial photograph of the subject property available from GoogleEarthT'". We
counted the building clusters within the industrial park the Site parcel is contained within, and
made the assumption that each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we
determined that there is an average of one septic system per acre in the immediate vicinity of
the Site. 14
The general vicinity consists of agricultural land to the northwest and industrial activity to the
north. The Stockton Diverting Canal is to the south-southwest, followed by residential clusters.
State Route 99 is east; Highway 88 is southeast.
1.3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Septic permits were requested for the properties adjacent to the site through EHD. Permits for
the surrounding parcels were reviewed as follows: parcel 2342 N. Teepee Drive, adjacent south,
has one passed percolation permit test in 2004; parcel 2540 N. Teepee Drive, adjacent north,
has a permit for a septic installed for up to four employees in 1985; parcel 2601 Teepee Drive,
adjacent east, has a permit for a septic installation in 1984; parcel 2560 N. Teepee Drive,
_ second parcel north from the site, has a new septic installation permit on file dated 1987; parcel
2300 Teepee Drive, two parcels south of the site, has a failed shallow percolation test and a
deep passed percolation test dated 1999. The property west of the site is occupied by State
Route 99 intersecting Highway 88.
Based on the files reviewed, the septic systems in the area appear to utilize standard leach lines
and seepage pits. Leach lines are less than 100 feet in length and seepage pits are not located
at depths greater than 25 feet bgs.
1.3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a recent file review at the EHD, the septic repairs in the vicinity appear to be for the
addition of leach lines. The septic repair permits can be found in Appendix D of this report.
1.3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected usage on the proposed parcel would consist of the above mentioned office
building for up to 3 permanent employees, with the occasional visitor (up to 3 per day
maximum anticipated) taken into account. Septic system design should be based on the San
Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
©2014 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc.
A Terracon Company
