The project site is located on the east side of Thornton Road, 1000 feet north of State Route 12, Lodi(Supervisorial District 4). Kerry Sullivan, Director,said there is a request from the opponents to continue this item to June 2,2011. ' Tom Terpstra, representing the opponents,said he was just hired by Pilot-Flying J, an opponent of the project. He needs time to review the project. He requested a continuance to June 2. There are traffic issues he would like to review-, k Commissioner Morri said he does not understand why they need to continue this. There has been a lot of time to review this project. Commissioner Devencenzi said he has no problem with continuing this. i Mike Hakeem, representing the applicant,said they have known of this application for one year. He .requested that they hear this project tonight. i Commissioner Villapudua said they have had enough time to prepare. Commissioner Johnson said he agrees. MOTION: It was moved, seconded (Mor inrllapudua), and passed by a majority roll call vote(3-1)to deny the continuance of PA-1000131. . Rick Griffin,Senior Planner, introduced the staff report into the record. k _ PUBLIC HEARING OPENED: PROPONENTS: Mike Hakeem, representing the Love's Country Store,said they have complied with all the special purpose plans. The General Plan and Zone Reclassification have been approved by both the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors. The traffic study has been completed. Their recommended mitigations are included in the staff report. They will comply with all the Development Title requirements. They concur will, all the findings. - Kevin Huber,the manager of Highway 12 Investors,said all the business have benefited from the traffic study.
