NOA Project Number: E06102B <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> PIRES / FOOSHEE PROPERTY <br /> THORNTON & MIDSECTION ROAD <br /> THORNTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> /1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Mr. Bill Koch of Siegftied Engineering in Stockton to conduct a soil <br /> ` suitability study for the property at Thornton and Midsection Road,Thornton,California. <br /> The soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use <br /> with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included <br /> conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San Joaquin <br /> County,Public Health Services,Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information,geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a <br /> septic system. <br /> too The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, <br /> the EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> `, /1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APN's) for the Site are 001-150-55 & 56. The total acreage of the <br /> site is 6.66 acres, each parcel 3.33 acres. (Plate 1) The county application number is currently <br /> unassigned. The subject property is vacant land. There are no wells or structures on the property. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is <br /> approximately 5 to 10 feet above mean sea level.
