NATIONAL SANITATION FOUNDATION (NSF)
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION BIO-PURE PROCESS
NOTE: AquaClear Technologies Corp. is the sole owner of BIO-PURE, its
processes, technologies, and technical data. AquaClear considers BIO-
PURE data proprietary and restricts its use except where written permission
is applied for and granted. The original test results are on file at the
National Sanitation Foundation, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The following report from the National Sanitation Foundation represents
data generated using a BIO-PURE sewage treatment plant Model 30-E.
Data from that test can be taken as representative of the secondary batch
process unit now being manufactured by AquaClear Technologies Corp.
The basis for the current AquaClear design is taken from the original de-
sign standards used in BIO-PURE's waste treatment products.
Internal mechanical and electrical control equipment has gone through
various evolutionary technical upgrades since the test. Basic sizing data
have changed little and are still representative of the process plant origi-
nally tested in 1973.
Not shown in the testing results are removal data from tertiary filters, am-
monia nitrogen, and phosphate removal process equipment. Refer to cur-
rent unit specifications for additional data.
The test criteria used was NSF C-9, which is a more rigid evaluation than
NSF Standard 40.
