G.' TEST METHOD <br /> 1. GENERAL: <br /> a. Should mechanical malfunctions at the test facility occur during testing(dosing <br /> 'interruption. communitor faihire, sampler malfunction, etc.) the testing agency <br /> shall determine the potential.adverse affect on the performance of the system and <br /> determine what analytical values shall be included in the thirty- and seven- <br /> sample averages. ` a` <br /> b. The plant shall be installed.. operated, and maintained according to the <br /> manufacturer's instructions during the test period. If these instructions conflict <br /> Y t. with provisions in this Appendix,the provisions m this Appendix shall be used. <br /> C. If the plant under test is installed at .a higher grade than a typical field <br /> installation, the manufacturer may insulate the, plant if normal treatment <br /> temperatures could be affected. t <br /> 2. START-UP PROCEDURES: , <br /> A- <br /> a. 'the plant shall be assembled according to the'manufacturer's instructions. <br /> Equipment shall be checked by the mmnu Wcturer to determine that it is <br /> structurally sound. All defects shall be reported. If no defects are detected,that <br /> fact shall be indicated by the testmg; agency- I-_ <br /> b. The wastewater loading pattern provided in Section F.1 (normal loading) shall <br /> begin.
