Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage 5 j <br /> Maximum expected usage on the Site would be from the vinegar processing building, <br /> the existing residence, and an additional dwelling unit. Septic system design should be <br /> /- based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards (2003) or other engineering <br /> recommendations. <br /> Ground Water Information <br /> Depth and Gradient <br /> Live Oak reviewed ground water elevation information available from the San Joaquin <br /> County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to determine the ground water <br /> levels near the Site. No information was available for the area. Ground water elevation <br /> maps available from the Sacramento County Department of Water Resources were <br /> reviewed; data from the spring and fall of 2007 were the most recent available from this <br /> source. According to an analysis of these maps (Plates 5 and 6), ground water <br /> elevation is approximately even with sea level; ground water flows toward the east and <br /> southeast in the vicinity of the Site. <br /> Based on the ground elevation of approximately five feet and the ground water elevation <br /> contours discussed above, it is estimated that the depth to ground water is less than 10 <br /> feet below ground surface. Live Oak did not encounter ground water during drilling to <br /> 3.4 feet below ground surface on May 19, 2011. <br /> Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues <br /> The Soil Suitability Study is not intended to be an investigation into ground-water <br /> contamination sources, and no such investigation was conducted. Many sources can <br /> contribute to ground water contamination, including leaking underground storage tanks, <br /> agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water infiltration. Agricultural <br /> activities and the use of septic systems in the area are known ground water <br /> contamination sources with the potential to impact the Site. <br /> On-Site Wells <br /> According to Mr. Kramer, one domestic well and one domestic/irrigation well exist on <br /> the Site (Plate 2). One well permit was found at San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department. This permit, dated April 1997, is for the installation of a new <br /> irrigation well (the well that will serve the new processing building). It is included in <br /> Appendix 4. <br /> LOGE1120 Page 3 <br />
