The project consists of creating a construction services
complex in two phases on a 0.92 acre parcel.
The soil suitability/nitrate loading study(SS/NLS)was conducted to determine whether the soils
are suitable for the use with a septic system and estimate the potential impact to ground water
quality. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the
San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included conducting
percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San Joaquin County,
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD).
In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic
maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use
with a septic system.
This report has been formatted to correspond to the EHD's SS/NLS Requirements Checklist,
dated July 14,2003.
