• SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Marc Marchini of A.M. <br /> Farms to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the property located at 9010 West Howard <br /> Road, Stockton, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Developmerit <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into three new parcels (Plate 2). Mr. <br /> Marchini indicated that no changes to the use of the Site are planned. <br /> • Site Description <br /> The Site consists of Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs) 189-190-04, 189-190-07, 189- <br /> 160-12, and 189-160-23, approximately 400 acres in size. It is located at 9010 West <br /> How-ard-Road,_Stockton, California; other addresses listed for the Site are 8990, 9000 <br /> Wand 9030 West Howard Road, 7757 and 7780 West Undine Road and 15410 South <br /> racy Boulevard. The"Site consists of agricultural land planted wit vineyard, alfalfa, <br /> '-and corn. Many structures are located on the Site, including an asparagus-packing <br /> shed, two shops, four storage buildings, two houses, four mobile homes, a garage, an <br /> office, and several smaller outbuildings. Three domestic wells are also located on the <br /> Site (Plates 3 through 5). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately zero to four feet above mean sea level (Plate 6). The Site is <br /> relatively flat. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-80, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 80 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> • <br /> LOGE 1523 Page 1 <br />
