State law requires that land use within airport areas of
influence must conform to the Airport Land Use Plan.
The location of the Revision of Approved Actions to remove the compliance date requirement, and a
request for a One-Year Time Extension for a Site Approval to expand an existing truck parking facility
and taxi limo service - is located on the east side of Tracy Blvd., 400 feet south of Linne Road, south of
Tracy (APN/Address: 253-120-33; 28644 S. Tracy Blvd., Tracy) (Supervisorial District 5). The property
is zoned I-G (General Industrial) and the General Plan Designation is I/G (General Industrial). Some
restrictions may apply to projects that fall within this zone, and development on this land must adhere to
the standards outlined in the 1993 amended Airport Land Use Plan. The standards pertinent to this
zone includes, but are not limited to, the following:
• The use of non-reflective materials, transmissions, and visual distractions to pilots;
• Radio transmissions that would interfere with aircraft communications/navigation are not
permitted;
• Residential uses are permitted if insulated to reduce interior noise to a level no higher
than 45 dB;
• A Deed of Aviation and Hazard Easement is recorded in favor of the Airport Operator
when new residential land use involved 5 or more units; and
• Proposed schools that are to be located within a 2-mile radius of an airport must
undergo a review by Caltrans Division of Aeronautics and the State Department of
Education.
In addition, the property owner should be aware of the potential need to file FAA Form 7460-1 entitled
Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration. This form can be accessed from
http://www.2.faa.gov/ATS/ATA/ATA400/oeaaa.html and sent to FAA, P.O.
