Granite Construction Company
Stockton Branch
Quarry Excavation Application PA-020377
r
Reclamation Plan Addezdiun
•
Hydrology
y gv
Please refer to r the attached report prepared by Condor Engineering for specific
information on the hydrological parameters associated with this site.
The exact location of groundwater is unknown on this site. During exploratory
drilling on both this site, as well as QX-99-1, water was not encountered. In
addition, previously excavated mining operations located approximately 4,000
ft. to the northeast of this site did not encounter groundwater to a depth of 120
ft. Based on these factors, it is not anticipated that groundwater will be
encountered within the proposed 100 ft. excavation depth and therefore was
not indicated on the cross-sections.
• Soil Assessment
Please refer to the attached report titled `Biological Resources, Impacts and
Mitigation Analysis, Granite Construction Company, Tracy Facility Expansion
Project" as prepared by Monk & Associates, for specifics relating to soils and
vegetation conditions itions on this site. This report was prepared as part of the permit
application for QX-99-1 (Tracy Expansion Site). Please refer to the Vicinity Map
and Site Location Map for the exact locations of these properties. As these
properties are adjacent to each other, separated by a fence line only, it is believed
that conditions described in this report for QX-99-1 will be identical to those
encountered on this project site.
• In-Stream Mining
No in-stream mining will occur on this site.
• Air Resources/Climatology
The project site is located approximately 5 miles south of the city of Tracy
CA. The general weather of the area is similar to that experienced throughout
the San Joaquin Valley. According to data collected over 30 years and
reported on `weather.com", the average annual rainfall for the area is 10
inches. The majority of this rainfall occurs between November and March.
The average high temperature in the summer is 96 °F, with and average low
temperature of 32 °F.
4 '
f
i
