During exploratory <br /> drilling on both this site, as well as QX-99-1, water was not encountered. In <br /> addition, previously excavated mining operations located approximately 4,000 <br /> ft. to the northeast of this site did not encounter groundwater to a depth of 120 <br /> ft. Based on these factors, it is not anticipated that groundwater will be <br /> encountered within the proposed 100 ft. excavation depth and therefore was <br /> not indicated on the cross-sections. <br /> • Soil Assessment <br /> Please refer to the attached report titled `Biological Resources, Impacts and <br /> Mitigation Analysis, Granite Construction Company, Tracy Facility Expansion <br /> Project" as prepared by Monk & Associates, for specifics relating to soils and <br /> vegetation conditions itions on this site. This report was prepared as part of the permit <br /> application for QX-99-1 (Tracy Expansion Site). Please refer to the Vicinity Map <br /> and Site Location Map for the exact locations of these properties. As these <br /> properties are adjacent to each other, separated by a fence line only, it is believed <br /> that conditions described in this report for QX-99-1 will be identical to those <br /> encountered on this project site. <br /> • In-Stream Mining <br /> No in-stream mining will occur on this site. <br /> • Air Resources/Climatology <br /> The project site is located approximately 5 miles south of the city of Tracy <br /> CA. The general weather of the area is similar to that experienced throughout <br /> the San Joaquin Valley. According to data collected over 30 years and <br /> reported on `weather.com", the average annual rainfall for the area is 10 <br /> inches.
