Wastewater Treatment System
,` The constructed wetland should be inspected periodically to assure the integrity of the liner,
berm, vegetation, and outlet structures are maintained.
%W
%W 6.1.1. Inspect the wetland liner and embankments
6.1.1.1.Monthly
1. Inspect liner for rips and tears.
2. Inspect the liner for foreign objects that may cause rips.
3. Inspect the berm for possible rodent or other animal burrows that may cause damage.
r, 4. Inspect liner keyways for evidence of displacement.
` 6.1.1.2.After Storm Events
5. Inspect the berm for possible erosion problems.
` 6. Inspect the stormwater detention area for any signs of erosion.
6.1.2. Septic and Pump Tanks
1. Weekly - inspect wetland influent piping for obstructions of floating debris.
2. Monthly—inspect overflow piping.
-- 3. Biannually—inspect the outlet structures for proper elevations.
6.2. Land Disposal Fields
6.2.1. Weekly Field and Equipment Assessment
On a weekly basis, a walk through should be performed on the fields. Note odors, or other
nuisances, and standing water. If any of these conditions are present, then the field rotation
schedule should be reexamined and alternative zones for wastewater application may need to be
added.
Equipment should also be checked for readiness.
