.. Wastewater Treatment System �..r FALL CREEK Specifications ENGINEERING,INC. 1. SCOPE OF WORK s %W The proposed project will involve the following construction activities: `r 1. Clearing, grubbing and rough grading. 2. Earthen grading of the proposed treatment wetland including the berm around the wetland, regrade the existing stormwater detention area. 3. Constructing wetland inlet, outlet, and overflow structures as shown on the plans. %W 4. Installing wetland liner including keyways and pipe boots as needed. `. 5. Installing an effluent pumping system and solid set sprinkler irrigation system to distribute treated water to the irrigation area. 6. The contractor will be responsible for implementing material, vehicle and waste %W management measures to maintain excavated inert and potentially hazardous materials outside of the treatment and disposal areas. The contractor will also be required to ` maintain a material storage, spill prevention and staging area. 7. Anticipated best management practices for construction activities will include: * schedule limits through April 30 through October 15 * measures to stabilize cleared and grubbed areas 8. Recommended BMPs will be consistent with the California Storm Water Best Management Practice Handbook for construction activities and/or other requirements established by San Joaquin County. 2. PARABOLIC SCREEN 1. The manufacturer shall size the screen the to handle at least 35 gallons per minute of %W winery process wastewater. %W 2. Screen slot openings shall be 0.010". 3. The screen shall be of 63 wire construction with 5/32" round support rod @ 1'/z" spacing. 4. The screen housing, headbox, and damper shall be constructed from 11 gauge, 204 stainless steel plate. 5. The screen shall be piped for gravity flow and shall have an inlet and outlet. ;. 6. Operation and Maintenance instructions shall be included. 7. The screen shall be IPEC Model SHS 1822 Mini Sidehill Screen, or equivalent. ' 3. SEPTIC WANK The accompanied plans present the general layout, plumbing configuration and construction details for the septic system. The following are material specifications for the system ' components. All materials used for the construction of this project shall conform to the following specifications or as described in the accompanied plans. 3.1. Concrete influent tank 1. The 5,000 gallon influent tank, located between the parabolic screen and the wetland, shall be constructed of concrete, as approved by the county of San Joaquin. 2. The septic tank shall have at least two compartments separated by a baffle or equivalent arrangement. The septic tank shall be watertight.
