In the 2008 photo, it appears that portions of the Site are being replanted. No other <br /> significant changes are apparent. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report. <br /> 4.0 SITE INSPECTION <br /> Live Oak inspected the site on February 27, 2013. Photographs of the Site are attached <br /> to this report as Appendix 2. The northern, western, and southern property lines of the <br /> Site were inspected, as well as a representative sampling of the field roads. <br /> The Site is a vineyard composed of several different fields of varying ages. An irrigation <br /> canal runs along the northern property line. An irrigation well is located near the <br /> southeast corner of the Site. Brush piles were located near the center of the eastern <br /> side of the Site, no trash or hazardous materials were observed in the piles. Ten pole- <br /> mounted transformers were observed along the property lines. Three of these near the <br /> northwest corner were noticeably old and discolored, but no obvious leakage was <br /> observed. Several large oak trees are present on the Site. A sign indicating an <br /> underground pipeline was observed along Turner Road south of the Site. <br /> The adjacent properties are vineyards and rural residences. <br /> 5.0 INTERVIEWS <br /> 5.1 Interview with Property Owner <br /> Greg Burns, owner and manager of the Site, was interviewed by telephone on March 1, <br /> 2013. He indicated that the Site has been in his family since 1868. Most of the Site has <br /> been vineyard since 1889, though one 28-acre portion was used to grow alfalfa in the <br /> 1960s, he said. Mr. Burns indicated that the Site is farmed together with the adjacent <br /> parcel to the east, which goes by the address of 1973 West Turner Road. He stated <br /> that an irrigation well is located on the Site; it was developed in the 1960s. <br /> Mr. Burns indicated that there have been occasional problems with motorists dumping <br /> trash along the roadways, but he has not observed any dumping of hazardous <br /> materials. He was not aware of any underground tanks, chemical mixing or storage, or ) <br /> other environmental issues on the Site. <br /> LOGE 1302 Page 3 <br />
