This company apparently manufactures plastic
bottles for use in storing dairy products and chemicals such as
those that would be used for pesticide. The plastic bottles are
molded from plastics pellets that would be stored in a silo
adjacent to the existing building. Initially this company will
employ approximately 15 people which would be distributed over
three shifts of five people per shift. With their ultimate
expansion they may employ up to 30-40 people per day. Included
within this staffing there will probably be one plant manager and
one day time person in the office. The initial or start off
phase of the project will be intended to occupy the existing
building that was approved for the above referenced site approval
application. The project proponents are trying to achieve
occupancy no later than June 1, for this initial phase. We
discussed the conditions of approval for SA-89-24 with Mr. Itaya
and how this proposed project would be required to comply with
these conditions of approval and what would be required for the
issuance of a business license. The site is located on the most
north westerly parcel within Vallejo Court north of Roth Road.
As originally proposed there would have been a water cooling
tower for the purpose of cooling the molds. This cooling water
was then to be discharged to a waste water pond on site.
Apparently Mr. Itaya reviewed this proposal with staff from the
Regional Quality Control Board and was informed that to process a
waste discharge permit would take approximately 4-6 months. This
time for processing was not acceptable due to the desired June 1
start up date. An alternate is now being proposed whereby the
molds will be
