MEMO TO THE FILE -2-
SA-89-24
air cooled instead of water cooled. Jim Miller indicated that he
would need a letter from Ring Can Company outlining the processes
for air cooling the molds and stating that this will be the
process used. As noted above, the initial employment will be 15.
The septic tank system was sized for thirteen employees.
Jim Miller felt that the two additional employees would not
require upgrading of the septic tank system. If the project is
further expanded, however, it would require resizing the septic
tank system for the ultimate employee usage which would also
require a 100 percent replacement area as well. Relative to
water, if service is provided to five or more buildings or twenty
four employees or more for sixty days per year, a non-community
public water system would be required. The main effect of this
would be the additional testing that would require both on an
annual basis and on a tri-annual basis.
Chuck Farano discussed the requirements of the building division.
Jerry Herzick has indicated apparently that the .warehouse use
that was originally approved under SA-89-24 was a B2 occupancy
and that the proposed use by Ring Can Company would also be a B2
occupancy. Chuck advised Mr. Itaya that he should consult with
the fire chief for the French Camp area relative to storage of
the completed product and in particular how high the product
would be stored. This may have a bearing on the requirements of
the fire chief relative to methods of fire suppression . With
the B2 occupancy the structure can either be sprinkled or divided
into six thousand square foot areas with two hour fire walls.
Apparently Mr. Itaya is still evaluating both alternatives.
Dom De La Torre discussed the requirements of the original site
approval and that this applicant would be required to comply with
those conditions of approval. There is a requirement that a
solid wall be constructed along the property line where the
proposed use would border a rural residential area. At this time
it is our understanding that all that has been constructed is a
chain link fence with possible red wood slats.
It was the consensus of those in attendance that the initial
start up phase of the proposed use can be initiated with the
existing site approval. All that would be required at this time
would be to obtain a County business license. It was further the
consensus of those in attendance that any further expansion
because of the issues that would be triggered relative to the
sewer and water system improvements would require a new site
approval.
