The master plan submitted herein is the result of over
three years of planning and design.
The St. Bernard's Catholi Ch h Eaton Campus is located on Eaton Avenue in Tracy. The
Eaton Camhpus includes 600 sat church,a rectory, a convent, a K-8 single grade school, a
multi-purpose room, and parish offices, on 5.5 acres. The parish has beerilwated on this site for
over 55 years.
St. Bernard's is the only Catholic Church in Tracy, and there are 6500 families registered with
the parish. There are currently 11 masses held every Saturday—Sunday, with many of the
masses having standing room onl}. 27 students attend the school. All other typical parish
activities occur at the Eaton Campus;including religious education, various ministries, meetings
of a variety of affiliated groups, large dinners and events, and a large fundraising festival.
St. Bernard's has purchased 20 acres at the southwest corner of Corral Hollow Road and Valpico
Road to expand the parish (the Valpico Campus). This will be a unique expansion in that it will
not be a new Parish, rather St. Bernard's will utilize both campuses to serve the parishioners.
This will be a more efficient way to provide services to our ever increasing Parish family,
limiting the need for additional priests and administrative personnel.
At buildout, the Valpico Campus will include a 2000 seat church and supporting buildings, a two
grade K-8 school, and a multi-purpose room. The administrative offices, rectory, and convent
will all remain at the Eaton Campus. The school at the Eaton Campus will be used for religious
education and to locate various ministries. Masses will be scheduled at both campuses every
weekend. Smaller services, particularly weddings and funerals will remain at the Eaton Campus
The Valpico Campus will be built p es, over approximately' ars.
