[41 Cont.
The percolation test boring on Parcel A was set at 12.5 feet below grade, where a clayey sand was
encountered during drilling and sampling. A percolation test was not performed at 42 inches due to
the high clay content soil at this depth. This 42 inch depth represents the maximum leachline trench
placement where percolation, or wetting front will occur in native soil.
Our percolation tests were performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Department of
Environmental Health regulations. The attached Field Test Data Sheet illustrates the perc test results.
The results show comparatively fast rates considering the clayey sand soil structure at test depth, and
will be discussed in the Conclusions section of this report.
151 LOCAL GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER INFORMATION
The groundwater is located at approximately 100 ft below grade according to maps published by
_ the Flood Control District. There was no evidence of a perched water table condition during our
percolation test boring procedures, although the soil was fairly moist. There are no nearby
surface waters which may be impacted from septic effluent.
The Environmental Health Department stipulated the on-site well be tested for the pesticide
DBCP and nitrates. The samples were taken by Mr. Mel Gadbut who handled the real estate
transaction for this project. Per the request of the Health Department, Mr. Gadbut has submitted
a letter detailing how he obtained the water samples for analyses. This letter can be found in the
Appendix. The results indicate the well has a nitrate concentration of 27 ppm and a non-detect
for DBCP. This nitrate concentration can be considered medium since the maximum contaminant
level is 45 ppm.
'! mlihj ("'.tml Inspxtimi
