FARMINGTON EQUITY PARTNERS PROPERTY
Page No. 2
IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
A new home has recently been constructed on the proposed
parcel 1 . The home is less then a year old. A septic system has
been installed which consists of a tank, 3 - 4011 leach lines, and
25 ' deep dry wells on the end of each leach line. The system has
performed well since its installation. No other structures exist
on the property.
There is only one neighbor that is within reasonably close
proximity to the subject homesites. This neighbor was interviewed
and a summary of that information is presented next:
OWNER: Chaffee
ADDRESS: 5475 Van Allen Rd.
LOCATION: 300 yds west
AGE OF HOUSE: 5 years
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, consists of septic tank and 3 leach lines.
The presence of dry wells on the end of the leach
lines is unknown. Have had no problems with the
system since construction 5 years ago.
V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in
Wells" published spring 1994 by the San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater
at this location is between 120 and 130 feet. The well located
north of the new house measured a ground water depth of 114 feet in
October of 1993 .
The water well north of the new house on the proposed parcel
1 is used as the domestic well for the residence. This well was
sampled October 18, 1993 and tested for the presence of nitrate.
Test results indicated the level of nitrates to be 8 mg/1, which is
well below the Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) of 45 mg/1. Test
results are attached. An additional sample of this well water was
taken on November 16, 1994 and submitted to the laboratory for
testing for the presence of DBCP. The results of this test will be
submitted as soon as it is completed.
VI . SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
Initially, 2 test holes were excavated to a depth 10 feet in
the areas of the existing and proposed homesites in order to
rOER50
P H
s N
q W
q P
SSOL
