INTRODUCTION <br /> The purpose of this project is to divide a 40 acre parcel into 2 parcels. In accordance with the <br /> San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report <br /> (SSCR) is being submitted for application with the tentative map. This report will investigate the <br /> property for visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation and <br /> testimony from the owners. <br /> Proiect Description <br /> The project consists of one parcel located at 6066 S. Van Allen Road, Farmington. The <br /> Assessor's parcel number is 183-350-09. The project is in an agriculture area. It is zoned <br /> AG-40. The site has a vineyard and no buildings. See tentative map included in the appendix. <br /> The project, when completed, will contain a future homesite. The proposed parcel will be 4 <br /> acres. The homesite is being created as a "financing parcel." <br /> Proiect History <br /> The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony from the <br /> _ owners and records from the County(San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office <br /> and the San Joaquin County Contaminated Site List). The Murphy family has owned the <br /> property more than 20 years. This property, and all surrounding properties, have had consistent <br /> uses in the time the Murphy's have owned the property. Consistant uses include agriculture <br /> (vineyards, walnuts, and row crops). <br /> The results of researching the County records, yielded the product shown in the appendix. ✓ <br /> The property is managed by S-K/Triple "S" Farms. All products are applied per manufacturer's <br /> recommendations. All chemicals are applied under permit. Chemicals are applied under permit <br /> to "Murphy Farms." <br /> Field Investigation <br /> The following information was obtained during a field investigation of the site as well as <br /> interviewing the property owners. The field investigation and interview occurred on <br /> April 15, 2004. Joe Murphy met with property owner Tom Murphy on this date. <br /> This site has an existing vineyard on it. The vineyard is sprinklered but there are no wells on this <br /> site. The area has no public sewer or water. <br /> According to the owner, there are no buried tanks on the property. There are no visual signs of <br /> any such tanks (ground settling, irregular ground, etc.) <br /> The depth to groundwater in this vicinity is approximately 110 feet.
