Surface and Subsurface C000ntamination Report—APN: 229-220-024,025—To adjust two(2)Parcels)
totaling 96.7 acres into one parcel,Parcel A,containing 15 acres and a second parcel,Parcel B,cont-
aining 81.7 acres and then separating out Parcel B(81.7 acres)for future use and development.
There are no wells on the subject property so no attempt was made to determine
DBCP and Nitrate(NO3) concentrations in the water.
7.0 Evaluation of Past and Current Sources of Contamination Identified At Or Near
The Site And Recommendations For Further Action
5.1 Evaluations: Each of the past, present and current sources of contamination are
evaluated in each of the Sections 2.1 through 6.0 above. Refer also to Sections 8.1
through 8.3 below.
8.0 Conclusions Recommendations and Mitieation Measures:
8.1 Conclusions: With no animals being found on the subject property,no
excessive nitrate concentrations are anticipated from animal overpopulation and no
correction for excess nitrate concentration is needed on account of animals.
An insignificant amount of recorded septic system failures were found in the
septic system research contained in this report so there is no anticipation of septic system
type contamination problems developing if the type of systems installed in the past are
maintained.
There does not appear to have been any subsurface construction present or past
that would contribute to below ground contamination.
In the past the subject property has been subjected only to agricultural use. Since
the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's report showed that the property
owner has been complying with all the rules and regulations in purchasing and using
pesticides and herbicides, there does not appear to be any undue concern of
contamination from chemical use in any agricultural endeavors.
Also the DBCP and Nitrate (NO3)—Land Use Maps available in the San Joaquin
Environmental Health Department's Office showed no real detrimental concerns for these
two chemical concentrations.
8.2 MitiP_ation Measures: No chemical residues or spillage of hazardous materials were
noted on the subject property that need attention nor were there recorded failure of the
septic systems that need to be corrected or found to cause any problems of this type of
contamination.
(8.3)Recommendations: Continuing the present conditions and use on the subject
property and developing the subject property as planned is not expected to impact ground
water nor cause other health hazards.
Walter
5 3
Joe Dutra, Jr., 16113 South Victory Road,Oakdale,California 95361 (Project Site) 7
T n Finsnnia) 1 irn 44nndifnrd AVPn11P Rnildino('.-1 Mndratn ('alifnrnia 9S150(RnaIOPCa)
