Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
2329 East Vine Street, Stockton, CA-Page 3 GPI Environmental Management
The Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC-CalEPA), Clandestine Drug Lab Removal Program was (3-6
contacted for the presence of potential clandestine drug lab cleanup and/or hazardous release locations within a
quarter mile radius of the subject property. The DTSC is the referral agency for local agencies requesting C3 35
mitigation of contaminated and/or hazardous release sites pertaining to illegal drug manufacturing and storage.
The DTSC database has maintained records of cleanup activities since 1995. No DTSC records were found
within a quarter mile of the subject property.
1913 Topographic Map
The 1913 historical topographic map shows the subject and adjacent properties in all directions within a one-
quarter mile radius of the subject property as vacant. Waterloo, Fremont and B Streets are present on the
topographic map.
1957 Aerial Photograph
The 1957 aerial photograph shows the subject and adjacent properties in all directions within a one-eighth mile
radius of the subject property as occupied by residential structures and/or vacant parcels. The nearest identified
leaking underground storage tank location at the Ragu Foods processing plant on D street is present in the
photograph.
` 1963 Aerial Photograph
The 1963 aerial photograph shows the subject and adjacent properties in the same configuration as in the 1957
` aerial photograph.Additional development of residential structures has occurred at near-by vacant parcels.
1970 Aerial Photograph
The 1970 aerial photograph shows the subject and adjacent properties in the same configuration as in the 1963
aerial photograph.
1983 Aerial Photograph
The 1983 aerial photograph shows the subject and adjacent properties in the same configuration as in the 1970
aerial photograph.
1993 and 1998 Aerial Photograph
The 1993 and 1998 aerial photograph shows the subject and adjacent properties in the same configuration as in
` the 1982 aerial photograph.
3.7 Geology and Hydrogeology
3.7.1 Site Geology
Published geologic data from Atwater, B.F., 1982, "Geologic maps of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, (3.L)
California", USGS MF-1401, Plate 17, indicates that the subject property is underlain by Holocene (<10,000
years old) to Upper Pleistocene (10,000 to 700,000 years old) stream channel, overbank and terrace alluvium
deposits of the Calaveras River and vicinity. The stream channel, overbank and terrace deposits consists of
clay, sand, silt, with minor gravel, and is moderately to well sorted, and moderately to well bedded. Stream
channel, overbank and terrace deposits are typically deposited in point bar and overbank flooding events and
have been elevated above the creek bottom by incision of the steam bed.
Based on U.S. Geological Survey mapping, the subject property is located in an area of low liquefaction
susceptibility. Liquefaction susceptibility is low because of the age of the deposits and the likelihood that near-
surface groundwater is relatively deep.
Based on review geologic and geo-hazard maps, it appears that no adverse soil and/or geologic conditions exist 3•v33
within the subject property boundaries.
There are no identified Quaternary faults (200 to 2,000,000 year ago) within one-mile radius of the subject
property. The subject property is not mapped within an Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zone. The subject
