L
(Voorhees)
L 0
/The water table being at approximately 10' depth requires leach lines only. Three addresses that
3 required repair were found. The years of repair as noted were: 1983, 1991 & 1995. The 1983
repair included a seepage pit also. The years since the original installation could not be verified.
The new installation dates,found,were: 1969, 1980, 1993, 1997& 1997.A total of 8 applicable
97 permits were found. There were 3 of 8 requiring repairs. Without in-home use data,no
' conclusion can be reached. The subdivision parcels are two acres in size, however the on-site well
and pad required on each parcel reduces the useable area for septic disposal. If the percentages of
failure on record is applied to the proposed subdivision a repair rate of 37%would be applicable,
probably within 15 years. Home owner education for proper treatment of the septic system is
highly desirable. The high groundwater table, the 100 year flood and probable failure rate indicate
any second unit dwelling would be difficult to locate satisfactorily.
GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
S d The water table as observed in the pit excavation was at 10'. While there may be a gradient to the
west the water table may be affected by high tides or low tides. There will be approximately 5 '/z
feet separation between the bottom of the LL and the groundwater providing excavation to build
_ the pads does not exceed 1'.
The three existing wells were tested by FarWest Labs Inc. The results as reported are as follows:
ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER D13CP NITRATES STREET ADDRESS
001-140-02 <0.01 ug/L <2.0 mg/L 10101 W. Walnut Grove Rd.
001-140-03 <0.01 ug/L <2.0 mg/L 9983 " "
001-140-04,06,49 <0.01 ug/L <2.0 mg/L 9913 " "
There is no third party involved. The selected lab, samples, transports and tests the water sample.
The sample log-in record as famished by FarWest Labs is included with the test results.
5 D SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION
50 To determine the water table and a soil profile to 10' a backhoe excavated a hole until water
appeared at the 10'depth. The soil to a depth of 8.75 feet was composed of silt, clay and sand. At
the 8.75'level a silty clay layer was observed. Two 6"test holes were hand augured to a depth of
42".The soil was not compacted. All test holes were 42"deep. The soil excavated from the
shallow holes was composed of silt, sand and clay.
3.
