QX-90-3 <br /> OF ROSS PURVIANCE (c/o EL RANCHO ROCK AND <br /> SAND INC; AND DON CLARK, NOLTE AND ASSOCIATES) <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> The Planning Division has concluded the preliminary environmental <br /> review for the proposed quarry expansion, and has determined that <br /> it will be necessary to have an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) <br /> prepared. Attached is a letter detailing the EIR requirement, and <br /> requesting the necessary fee to begin work on the Notice of <br /> Preparation. <br /> During the review of the proposed quarry expansion, it has become <br /> apparent that the existing quarry excavation (EP-81-9) is out of <br /> compliance with the approved site plan and Conditions of Approval. <br /> Based on this, the Planning Division is pursuing enforcement action <br /> immediately. <br /> KS:RDT <br />
