Surface &Subsurface Contamination Report Page 16 Sandhu Property Project No. 522.1 March 9, 2006 The following gives a summary of the information gathered from the review of ,. the aerial photographs: 1937 Air Photo 1"=660' Property The Property is only partially visible in this photo, but it appears to be in agricultural use, possibly as pasture land. A farm-building complex is visible near the northeast corner of the parcel. Adjacent " Most of the surrounding area is also agricultural, apparently as pastureland or to raise row or grain crops. 1950 Air Photo 1"=660' Property The Property is the site of about 40 buildings, presumably these of the former prisoner of war camp. Most appear to be wooden barracks structures. Several buildings differ in size and shape from the barracks. These presumably are buildings used by the staff and administration of the camp. Adjacent Lots north and east are in agricultural use, apparently to raise row or grain crops. To the southwest are several residential buildings. The present-day site of Western Farm Service appears undeveloped. 1963 Air Photo 1"=660' Property ` The Property still has some buildings remaining from its use as a prison camp, but over half of the buildings have been removed. Some of the land has been returned to agricultural use. Adjacent Nearby parcels are generally similar to what is shown on the 1950 photo. 1980 Air Photo 1"=660' �- Property The Property is in use to raise orchard trees. All of the former prison buildings are gone. Adjacent Nearby sites a mostly similar to what may be seen today.
