The purpose of our studies was to <br /> determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in <br /> general accordance to the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin County Ordinance. <br /> The following includes background information regarding the proposed development, past and <br /> present use of the site, existing septic tank performance and permitting, and the groundwater <br /> conditions in the project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures <br /> and the site conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation <br /> tests are presented. Finally, our project limitations are provided. <br /> ` 1. SITE DESCRIPTION/PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The subject 260-acre project site is composed of two parcels that will be merged and slit to <br /> create three parcels. We understand that the parcels are being merged and split so that a portion <br /> of the property can be sold. The existing parcels are zoned AG-80 (general agriculture). The <br /> %W three proposed parcels are shown on Plate 2 and are labeled as parcels A, B, and C. <br /> At the time of our study, the site consisted of agricultural fields predominately growing <br /> fto tomatoes. The site was located on Union Island and was bounded on the south and east by Old <br /> River, on the west by a ditch and agricultural fields, and on the north by a dry land levee and <br /> agricultural fields.
