� I � <br /> .0 r <br /> Also, dischargers must comply with any applicable provisions governing odors in the <br /> RWQCB's Basin Plan, for example, a minimum dissolved oxygen requirement in ponds. <br /> No odors of sewage origin will be perceivable from subsurface disposal if the discharger <br /> complies with Provision BA.a of the proposed WDRs. <br /> 6,c. Creation of Any Health Hazard or Potential Health Hazard <br /> The discharge of domestic wastewater to land for disposal has some potential to create <br /> health hazards due to pathogens, fecal coliform, and the potential for vector formation. <br /> This potential comes mainly from surface disposal techniques. The health hazard of <br /> subsurface disposal is minimal, especially if all Basin Plan prohibitions and provisions <br /> are complied with. With regard to surface disposal, the potential for a health hazard <br /> can be minimized through compliance with the following provisions of the proposed <br /> general WDRs. <br /> A.7. Discharge of waste classified as "hazardous" or "designated"J...], <br /> to any part of the wastewater disposal system is prohibited. <br /> B.1.b. The siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance and <br /> monitoring of all small domestic treatment systems must be <br /> consistent with all of the applicable RWQCB's policies, procedures, <br /> criteria, guidelines, conditions, and provisions as prescribed in the <br /> applicable RWQCB's Basin Plan. <br /> B.6.c. Public contact with undisinfected wastewater shall be precluded <br /> through such means as fences, signs, and other acceptable <br /> alternatives. <br /> D.1.b. The discharger shall ensure that all site operating personnel are <br /> familiar with the content of this Order and shall maintain a copy of _ <br /> this Order at the site. <br /> D.1.e. The appropriate RWQCB Executive Officer and the Director of the <br /> County Environmental Health Department or equivalent agency <br /> shall be notified immediately of any failure of the wastewater <br /> containment facilities. Such failure shall be promptly corrected in <br /> accordance with the requirements of this Order. <br />
