PA-0500531 OF MICHAEL AND LISA DOUGLAS
(C/O JERRY GREENMYER)
(FOURTH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors deny the appeal.
BACKGROUND
This item was continued indefinitely at the Board of Supervisors hearing of May 22,
2007. On March 27, 2007 the Planning Commission approved Use Permit application
No.PA-0500531 by a vote of 3-0 with two commissioners absent. The Use Permit is for a
recreational vehicle park to be located on the south side of Woodbridge Road, 600 feet
east of State Route 99, north of Lodi. On April 3, 2007, the Mokelumne River School
appealed the Planning Commissions approval of the project. The basis of the appeal was
the domestic sewer system and the effluent disposal areas were too close to the school,
and there were no conditions made on the safe operation of the domestic sewer system
and the resulting effluent and sludge disposal.
After consideration of all oral and written testimony, the Board of Supervisors voted to
continue this item indefinitely, to allow time for the applicant to address issues regarding
the type of sewage disposal system that will be utilized for this project, how the effluent
and sludge will be disposed, and what safety mechanisms will be in place to ensure the
safe operation of the system.
