Smith,P.E. <br /> Owner of Property: Mr. Benjamin Bechthold <br /> This Soil Suitability Study contains the results of soil analysis, water testing, and <br /> percolation testing, as required by ms 93-77. The final map has been checked by the <br /> County Surveyor's Office and was approved on September 7, 1994. <br /> Summary: The Parcels as configured and approved on MS 94-34 are adequate in <br /> size to support on site septic systems when engineered in accordance with <br /> conclusions of this report and in conformance with S.J. County Ordinances. <br /> A. SITE: The site consists of one 2 Acre parcel with two single family residences, and <br /> designated remainder of 40 Acres. The land currently is farmed. The crop is Tokay <br /> grapes. Parcel 1 is an existing home site parcel. Remainder is suitable for a home <br /> site with septic system. <br /> B. WATER HISTORY: This area is not in the 100 year flood zone according to present <br /> FEMA Maps reviewed. The ground water elevation is approximately 80 feet. <br /> The Fruit Growers Laboratory obtained and tested water from the existing home <br /> site. The test results are contained in the appendix. (DBCP and Nitrates) <br /> C. SEPTIC SYSTEM USAGE: Two single family residences exist on lot# 1. Both <br /> residences have a septic tank and leach field. Records show no indication of <br /> failures or repairs. 1200 gallon septic tanks, 8,000 SQ. FT. of leach field area, and <br /> pits at the end of each leach line are required based on current criteria. <br />
