i
} Geological Technics 11tc.
1172 Kansas Avenue
Modesto,California 95351
(209)522-4119/Fax(209)522-4227
Addendum
y Revised Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study
4640 E. Woodward Avenue
Manteca, CA
Project No. 1623.2
June 8, 2011
1.0 SUMMARY
Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) has prepared this Addendum to the Revised Soil Suitability
and Nitrate Loading Study that was prepared by Kleinfelder, Inc. in 2006, to address San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJC EHD) conditions of approval for a
proposed use change at 4640 E. Woodward Avenue in Manteca. On June 8, 2011 GTI staff
mobilized on site and conducted a percolation test per SJC EHD standard procedures and
oversight. The results of the percolation test indicate that the vicinity of the existing septic
leach field is suitable for septic system usage.
Based on proposed use of religious assembly with a seating capacity of 50, the waste/sewage
generated per week for the facility was estimated to be 3,600 gallons per week. The previous
estimate generated by Kleinfelder, Inc. in 2006 was based on proposed construction of a 290
seat temple, which was not constructed. It appears that the proposed use is less than the
previous estimate, which was determined by Kleinfelder, Inc. to be less than what would
cause an exceedance of the state drinking water standard for nitrogen in groundwater.
This addendum was undertaken to satisfy SJC EHD Conditions of Approval 3.a and it is
anticipated that this presentation of findings may allow SJC EHD to approve their portion of
the use permit application.
F
•1.1.1.1.1 !
f
